BOOKING 2011

What a blessing but at the same time OH so sad for me:(. We have been booked for the 2010 year since JUNE,  meaning we have had to turn several people away. For me that is REALLY hard. I hate it. It totally breaks my heart. But I can only shoot so many a week, be the wife and mother God wants me to be and fulfill all my other obligations in life.  Why o Why I hired an office manager... because I am so bad at saying NO:( I want to get EVERYONE in and when I can't it makes me super sad.

With that being said...

High School SENIORS...
 ... we have had SEVERAL 2011 Senior session requests but nowhere to put them this fall SO if you are in need of a 2011 senior session PLEASE call us asap and lets get you booked for the spring. March, April & May are some of my busiest months of the year so in order to get prime slots and get your invites and images back in time before graduation its best to book early and crazy as it seems means... NOW!

NEWBORNS....
Same applies to you beautiful mommas. NOTHING breaks my heart more then having to turn down a newborn session. Which has happened a ton over the last several weeks.:(( They are my favorite to shoot but also so priceless. That newborn look doesn't last long at all. If you know your due date call us and lets get your session on the books. How we schedule those is we shoot for scheduling you 2 weeks past your due date then adjust according to when your sweet little blessing actually arrives. I strive to get each and every newborn in within the first 10 days. They are more mold able then and sleep the most.


This is my last year to have my youngest home with me (tears). Its hard to believe how fast that stage in my life has flown by. Being that BOTH of my kids will be away from me all day everyday soon I will no longer be shooting weekends starting January 1, 2011. I realize that will be hard for many of you but I need to be home and soak up my children as much as I can while I'm able to. I'll be able to take more sessions during the week which is great but I will not be shooting anymore Saturdays. At this point I will probably still keep shooting Tuesday evenings but I'm still not positive. Not only do we get busy with school but also with every sport in town... soccer, softball, t-ball, basketball even piano. Our life is about to get MUCH busier as both of our kids start playing sports. Oh my... help me now!

Finding that balance between being the mom I want and need to be and L O V I N G my job is a very hard balance. Thankfully I LOVE both of my jobs. Though its a challenge to say the least to be the best I can at both I am so blessed and thankful to God for blessing me with both.

For those already on the 2010 fall waiting list don't loose faith I will do my best to try and get you in. I promise.

Courtney / Farmington Arkansas Senior Photographer

I have known this beautiful girl for several years. I met them when her sweet mom came to me for pix of her younger brother right after he was born 4 years ago. I remember photographing her when she turned 13 and thinking then she was such a natural in front of the camera. Now here she is a Senior in high School and even more amazing in front of the camera. She is such a beautiful girl both in and out.

We had a VERY interesting photo session to say the least. There is a reason they call run down, urban settings "ghetto" ha ha! Lets just say we got so freaked out by what we saw we were "running" to our cars. Though I did make the extra effort to back my car up and throw my "Sanford and son" chair back in my Yukon as fast as I could (my husband was not so happy about that smart move...but hey I do love my little chair, ha ha ha!) Thankfully we were able to finish the rest of her session in another fabulous area, much less scary!:) Courtney and Stephanie I will forever remember this session. Oh goodness. :)

our sweet girl...

Well its hard to believe its been 7 years since the Lord blessed my husband and I with the most beautiful, precious gift... our daughter. I still feel like I just had her. Hurts my heart to think how fast the time has flown already with her. She amazes us everyday with her passion, thoughtfulness and love for others. She truly lives to bless others with her precious pictures she's drawn, or jewelry she has made, a painting, a card, you name it she'll create it for you. She LOVES to serve others. She has some of the sweetest, most sincere prayers I have ever heard from a child. She never forgets to pray for children without parents or those without homes.... things you would not think a 7 year old would think about. She loves to make us laugh and keep the family entertained. She is so much more then I ever prayed for in a daughter. She is such a blessing to us. I can not ever thank our precious dear Lord enough for giving us her. Our family saying to our children is "I am so thankful God gave me you!" and boy do we mean it:)

We celebrated her birthday last week with a little slumber party.  They had a blast and it was super easy for me! BONUS! They are already turning into little prankster... we may be in trouble! ha! Anyway here's a few from last week. I'm sure I will capture more tomorrow on her actually b-day.

My First Conference / Digital Pro Lab

Back in March I got a phone call from the owner/manager of the lab I have been using for the past 4 years. He asked me if I would be interested in being flown out there to speak for them as well as their PPSA. I was so excited. Absolutely!

So the first week in June I went out there and spoke. Tuesday at the lab for about 25 or so professional photographers and then again that Wed. for about 60 professional photographers. I had never spoken publicly before this. I was so nervous getting there but once I started I was in heaven!!!  I  L O V E D it! I had so much fun. To be surrounded by so many others I share the same interest with and can help teach was so awesome to me. I met some wonderful people and most importantly I FINALLY (after years of talking to everyone over the phone) got to meet the whole lab crew in person. I totally felt like I had known them forever. It was great seeing how and where all my work was printed, mounted, textured, shipped etc. I even got to see new products that are coming out. It was a great trip! I am so blessed to have found such a great lab. I can not say enough great things about them. Fabulous quality of products + outstanding customer service + quick turn around time = super happy me! You guys are the greatest!!!

Alyssa / Bella Vista Arkansas Newborn Photographer

So I had to post one from today. This BEAUTIFUL little sweetheart was not in the mood for having her pix taken today. We worked really hard to get the shots we got. But this one is extra special. Momma rrrrrreally wanted one in my super cute new chair and... well,  we got it! Shew! I think it turned out adorable. YAY mom!

Special thanks also for my amazingly, awesome, super adorable, fan-tab-u-lous girlfriend Melissa who not only found me this chair last week but manages to find me all kinds of fun new things for so super cheap. She is amazing at finding deals! Thanks Mel. I had to post this one for you as well. I LOVE the new chair!!

KRIS ALLEN!!!

I have NEVER been more excited to watch American Idol then when our (Arkansas's) very own Kris Allen was on there and WON! I literally screamed and jumped up and down in my living room forever! You see not only was I so impressed with his amazing talent & the fact he's from Arkansas but most importantly he is a very dear friend (Aleisha) of mines cousin, which makes him even more special to me. I was beside myself excited for their whole family who I have gotten to know through the years. They are such a  PRECIOUS family so to see and witness such an AMAZING accomplishment was just the best thing ever.  It could not have happened to a better family. I love them. That being said....

He will be performing in Fayetteville MONDAY July 5th 2010. Get your tickets quick it's going to be a sold out show!

I heart this card so much! While in Texas a couple of weeks ago visiting my lab (more blogging on that coming soon:). I got to play around a little with some new product ideas. One of them is this the 6in x 6in card. The card is not a new product of theirs but we played with the textures and they created for me a "glossy linen" finish! WOW! I am in LOVE! It is sweet!

Ok so one of the many great things about my job is getting to know the families I shoot. I started photographing this adorable family when Connor was just a little guy. Now he's a big brother to the most adorable little sister Ava. Awe she melts my heart. I am so blessed to know them and be able to capture these sweet moments for them. 

 

My Best Friend / My Husband

Yesterday my husband & I celebrated our 10 year anniversary. What a B L E S S E D girl I am to call him my husband. He is so amazing! He is so much more then I ever prayed for. He is truly my very best friend & I thank the Lord so much for blessing my life with him. He is such an honest, loyal, strong Christian man who amazes me with his love for the Lord and his family. We laugh & think how much we "thought" we loved each other when we first got married, now here we are 10 years later (we have actually been together almost 14 years but only married fro 10 ). That love doesn't even compare.

On Valentines day he surprised me with a booked trip to Maui Hawaii. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I was so excited! We stayed at the Ritz Carlton which was amazing. He had arranged everything with my assistant Stacey without me knowing to make sure I had no bookings during the week he had us scheduled.  Hawaii has always been a dream of mine. ahhhhhhh!!!

Last week we made the trip. It was FABULOUS! We had the best time. Pure relaxation. It was SO hard to leave.  He could not have planned our stay out there any better. It was perfect.

If you have not been... GO! Add it to your bucket list.  We are going back.!!
